Hello!

My name is Oona Kaarina and I am a certified personal trainer and online
coach. I was always athletic growing up by participating in karate, soccer, track
and field and swimming. I did martial art from 7 to 14 years old: I learned a lot
from the coaches that trained me. I learned a lot at a young age through the
training, competitions, fights, and discipline. This sport built my confidence.
Whether it was in school or on my personal time I enjoyed keeping myself
physically active, but I didn’t start weightlifting until 2018 after I graduated high
school. During that time the gym became my happy place and calm space. I did
not start weightlifting because I wanted to look a certain way, it was because at
the time I was really stressed, angry, searching for my self identity. I loved the
way weightlifting made me feel because it gave me that same adrenaline rush
when I was doing karate.
Eventually, I discovered that I have a passion in staying as healthy as possible
mentally and physically. My passion is in fitness because it raised my vibrations. I
noticed my passion in helping people and cheering up my friends when they
needed help in the gym with the little knowledge I had, it gives me satisfaction
and purpose. The fitness industry fascinates me so much I know I have the
qualities a personal coach should have; I like to learn new things there is always
new information out there. Eventually I decided to get certified so I could
share my knowledge and experience with others. Girls on social media and
friends started asking me questions about how I was able to transform my
body and that’s when I said to myself, I wanted to help other people reach
their fitness goals. Present day I am continuously learning and working on
improving myself both mentally and physically. I believe that fitness,
nutrition, and mental health all work together as one for the achievement
of an individual or client. As a personal trainer one of the most important
things is helping my clients learn proper form, understanding
contraction, fitness techniques and how to incorporate exercise into their
everyday life. There are so many reasons why people choose to exercise or
have an overall healthy lifestyle. Whether you want to improve your sport

performance, lose weight, gain weight, build muscle or look and feel better
